WORKING SPACES
The modern home takes some work, and the rooms where those secondary tasks take place need to perform. For instance, who wants to do laundry in a room nobody is comfortable in? A library or study has also become a major part of life in recent years. Homework or budget balancing is not as fun (if we can call it that) in an uninspiring or non-functional space. And one of the most requested auxiliary rooms clients ask for is a butler pantry, which I often refer to as “working pantries”. They really are an amazing spot to stash the toaster, blender, air fryer, and stand mixer. Like with most rooms, all these spaces require some introspection to make them function and do so without it working against you. We discuss specifics and what makes sense in terms of both interior design and floor plan.
